Spring Favorites
The first day of spring is on the 20th this month and I wanted to list a few of my favorites for this time of the year - let me know yours! Also if you haven't seen my February Favorites yet, check it out here.
1. Closet Clean-Out
I love a good clean-out any time of the year, from things stored in the bathroom, kitchen, etc. - anything you aren't using? Something sitting in your closet with holes or stains (that weren't put there when you purchased it.. or a DIY hehe) throw it out! I'm thinking of adding a complete post on wardrobe clean-out soon, more on this then! I know the minimalist thing is trending at the moment, which I don't really do myself but there is something to having less things cluttering your space that feels refreshing and nice.
I also like the idea of having a yard sale, donating items or handing them off to friends who might really like what you're getting rid of.
2. Fresh Flowers
What doesn't say Spring like a beautiful bouquet of flowers? I'm always looking at them when Kyle and I are at the grocery store (even snap a few for my Instagram) & taking them home for your vase brings some life into your home.. that's always nice, esp. with the added scent and bright colors. I also have been loving succulents lately and like placing them right outside our front porch.
3. Pastels
If you type 'Pastel' into Pinterest, you'll see a ton of flowers, some cooking recipes and a TON of pastel outfits. I love those! I tend to gravitate towards lighter colors in my closet already but I really love pairing lighter colors together. Here's some inspiration: 30 Dreamy Pastel Outfit Combinations.
4. Cold Beverages
This also goes year-round for me, I guess living in California spoils you of great weather but I esp. love these in the Spring and Summer seasons. You get a lot of selection from various cafe's aiming towards the tent pole hotter months. Months ago, I re-created the Pink Drink from Starbucks on my YT channel.
5. Cute Suits
I've already been looking at swim suits online - they're all freaking cute! I honestly never buy swimsuits, maybe I should.. I've been using the same couple suits I have the last few years! *facepalm?*
